Prep Cook
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Capability to lift and handle heavy food items, meat cuts, and operate machinery.
- Basic math skills for ingredient proportions, attention to detail.
- Teamwork.
- Food handler permit required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 15-50 lbs.
- Food and Meat science: Basic understanding of meat cuts, quality factors, and processing techniques.
- Ability to lift and carry 15-50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Set up and complete all prep work.
- Prepare all daily food by following set requirements, recipes, minimizing waste, while maintaining product quality.
- Keep a clean, hygienic, and organized workspace.
- Clean and sanitize workspace during and after food is prepared.
- Handle all kitchen equipment and tools carefully and with precision, making sure safety rules are followed and items are in proper working order.
- Positive attitude while working with other team members.
- Ability and willingness to complete any other assigned tasks asked for by the management team.
- Efficiently managing time, ensuring consistency and compliance with food safety regulations.
